Christopher K. MacLean |

|
Chris is a
lifelong resident of Maine, having grown up in the Augusta area where he
attended local schools. His interest in the law was sparked from a young
age.
His father was Maine’s chief forensic psychologist
for many years, affording Chris a rare perspective on many of Maine’s
most notorious murder prosecutions throughout the 1980’s and early
1990’s.
As a teenager, Chris visited the court a
number of times to watch trials and also had the opportunity to go back
into chambers with the lawyers to listen to off-the-record discussions.
With these formative childhood experiences,
it was perhaps inevitable that he would enter the practice of law.
Chris is also proud to note that his
great-grandfather, Neil Vincent MacLean, practiced law in Bangor, having
been admitted to the Bar in 1904.
His certificate of admission to the Bar
hangs on the wall in Chris’s Camden law office.
Chris is currently chair of the
Camden Planning Board, is a member of the West Bay Rotary Club, and has
been involved in a number of other community activities, including
coaching youth soccer and little league, and advising the mock trial
team at Camden Hills Regional High School.
He is currently in his second three-year
term on Maine’s Advisory Community of the Rules of Evidence.
He is also a member of the Maine Trial
Lawyers' Association and Maine Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. |
